Abstract
The effects of reducing CdS thickness in the CdS/CdTe solar cells to increase J SC are discussed. From spectral response (SR) measurements, it is shown that CdS and CdTe interdiffusion increases as CdS thickness decreases. Changes observed in the CdS and CdTe SR edges imply formation of both S-rich and Te-rich CdTe1-x Sx regions. Other photocurrent losses in CdS/CdTe devices are quantified
