Abstract :
Due to the rapid increase of population and the necessity of providing adequate drinkable water supplies, which meet hygiene conditions, modern techniques are applied for water treatment. In particular, this study introduces a flexible model for describing, calculating and estimating the volume of water in distribution tanks through all phases of treatment processes. The model considers a typical water treatment station, located in the capital of Sudan, called Bait Elmal. Moreover the modeling process followed by intensive simulation using Matlab. The results obtained are useful for developing a complete control panel for the station. The ease and flexibility of this model permit its implementation for a wide range of water purification plants.
