Abstract :
A novel leaky-wave antenna integrated duplexer, based on the CRLH uniform ferrite-loaded open radiating waveguide, is introduced and demonstrated both numerically and experimentally. The duplexing operation is performed directly within the non-reciprocal antenna and unlimited Tx-Rx isolation is achievable. In the fabricated prototype, a gain of 2.3 dBi with isolation of more than 15 dB at all ports is realized. This new device may find applications in various wireless communication systems.
