  • Abstract
    In recent years, ontologies have been used as appropriate formalism to represent unambiguous knowledge of many different domains. However, classical ontologies, based on boolean logic, are not sufficient to represent vague knowledge commonly found in real world domains. A solution for this problem is to import the ability of fuzzy logic to extend the classical ontologies. In this paper, we propose a Unified Process based methodology to building fuzzy ontologies. The applicability of this methodology is presented with the support of a practical example in the mobile devices domain.
