Abstract :
The authors present a general technique for efficiently calculating the electrostatic potential in multilayered dielectric media. The technique starts by deriving the spectral-domain expression for the static potential, and then employs the complex image technique to derive a rapidly convergent expression for the potential in the spatial domain. The expression is formed by the superposition of contributions due to the source and a finite number of complex images. Numerical results are presented.<>
