Abstract :
Plane-wave scattering from a planar periodic array of metallic dihedral strips is studied using an indirect mode-matching technique based on Green´s second theorem. Numerical results reveal interesting frequency-selective and screening properties of the dihedral strip grating. Strong resonances occur at frequencies predicted by Wood´s anomaly. Waveguide resonances, which are related to the finite-length parallel-plate waveguides formed between consecutive dihedral strips, have also been observed.<>
