Abstract :
The paper introduces HHT time-frequency analysis and the concept of instantaneous frequency, determines the empirical mode decomposition of a given signal and its time-frequency distribution and applies HHT time-frequency processing and analysis to the actual seismic waveform signals. Results show that the HHT method can accurately describe the nonlinear time variation of seismic waveform signals and is a powerful tool in seismic signal time-frequency analysis.
