Abstract :
In this paper, multi-fractal approach is applied to process 1:200000 stream sediment geochemical exploration data of Baiyin area, Gansu province. Fractal dimension characteristics of 15 elements associated with mineralization are obtained based on C-A fractal method, as well as different geochemical anomaly levels and elements combinations. On the base of regional geological conditions, we try to find reasonable explanations of the results, further more, determine the anomalous area of main ore-forming elements. The results show that C-A fractal method is useful to reveal geochemical anomalous distribution and enrichment discipline, thus, providing an important exploitation potentiality evaluation clue of the study area.
