Abstract
In this paper, a method is proposed to coordinate decentralized linear Generalized Predictive Control (GPC). To achieve a better performance in controlling large-scale systems, a set of coordinating signals are generated using the coordinator and sent to each subsystem. The coordinating signals which are used in the Hierarchical GPC are calculated by the GPC in the case of measurable disturbance. The proposed method is simulated and the obtained results are compared with the Centralized and Decentralized GPC´s. Experimental results shows a better performance of this method compared to the Decentralized GPC and lower computation time compared to the Centralized GPC.
