  • Abstract
    To meet the needs of jitter measurement in the development of high-speed bus and broad band network, a time-frequency analysis method is presented to decompose and estimate high-frequency period jitter (HPJ). The random jitter (RJ) and low-frequency jitter (LPJ) were Altered out first by wavelet threshold-value filtering and FFT low-frequency filtering, then EMD algorithm and HHT apply to the HPJ. As experimental result of actual jitter shows, the frequency of each IMF and other signal characteristic could be estimated from the IMF time-domain diagram and HHT spectrum, with higher precision than known jitter analysis algorithms.
