Abstract :
In this paper a compact parallel edge coupled bandpass filter has been designed with Microstrip technology which is suitable for Bluetooth and GPS communications. This filter will work at a centre frequency 2.4 GHz with a fractional bandwidth of 20%. This filter has been implemented on FR4 substrate with relative permittivity 4.4 and substrate height 1.59 mm. The simulation of the filter has been done using IE3D full wave EM simulator. Also for the calculations of the design parameters of the filter, a design software `SmartCalc´ is developed.
