Abstract
The increasing complexity of feedback control laws designed for nonlinear systems makes necessary the use of digital computers in control implementation. The sampling and zero hold (SZH) is one of the most used techniques for this implementation. The paper examines the behaviour of SZH of smooth stabilizing laws in general nonlinear systems. Due to the way the analysis is performed, qualitative and quantitative results are obtained, not only for the sampled states of the continuous model, but also for the intersample behavior of the states
