In this paper, based on the SCP frame of industrial organization theory, that is “structure-conduct-performance”, the author analyzes market structure, enterprise conduct and market performance in Chinese insurance industry. Although insurance industry in China has a good achievement at a past stage, there are many disadvantages. According to these analyses, the paper puts forward some suggestions to optimize Chinese insurance industry.
