Abstract :
With the rapid development of the network technology and the advent of various multimedia applications, multicasting technology is widely applied. The paper mainly focuses on the algorithm to construct multicast routing tree with QoS requirements. An improved genetic algorithm is presented, in which the GA structure is modified in order not to trap in local optimization, the tree structure coding scheme is adopted to simplify the coding and decoding process, the multi-point crossover can improve the performance of the crossover operation, the mutation operation for the strong-developing individuals can achieve the fast convergence and avoid local optimization. The simulation results show that this algorithm is efficient and effective.
