Abstract :
In a variety of modes of transport, the container transport not only occupies an increasingly important position in the international transport system, but also plays an important role in regional economic, trade and logistics development with its own superiority. Although it is nearly 20 years later than the world beginning when China started its container transportation, with an average annual increase of 35% in this industry, China has been as the first ranking of the world for five years already. The fleet capacity of COSCO and China shipping container are ranking into the world´s top 10, and the throughputs of six China mainland container ports like Shanghai and Shenzhen are listed into the world´s top 20. Meanwhile, the containerization of China container port has achieved international advanced level. China´s container transportation not only has been a strong support for the development of the national economy and foreign trade, but also has played an important role on the growth of the global economy.
