Abstract
This paper presents new single-switch auxiliary resonant converters which can operate in a soft-switching way without auxiliary switches. In the proposed converter circuits, the capacitors of the resonant circuit act as lossless snubbers which can be expected to reduce the switching losses, the switching stresses and EMI noise on the power semiconductor device. Moreover they are also capable of conventional PWM control. The principle of operation, simulated results, experimental results and other applications are presented to verify the analysis
