Abstract :
The Applebaum adaptive array suffers from its sensitivity to errors in steering vector, such as pointing error which results when the desired signal arrival angle may be known approximately but not exactly or when the desired signal arrival angle may be estimated from the received signal. In the present work, the effect of the pointing errors on the performance of the adaptive array is demonstrated, and a method for minimizing this effect is investigated.<>
