Abstract
Implementation of the vector tetrahedral finite element method for high-frequency electromagnetic field simulation is described. Sets of probe functions for various orders´ of approximation are defined and matrix equations corresponding to electromagnetic boundary problem are presented. It is shown that hierarchical vector finite elements of order 1 1/2 provides more then 20 times less approximation error than usually used mixed Whitney elements and makes possible substantial reduction of mesh size and computation time.
