  • Abstract
This paper discusses the application of reverberation chambers to testing of aircraft and avionics systems. The paper presents data on the statistical characteristics of the electromagnetic environments in aircraft cavities. Data are presented from a Boeing 707 airframe, a Cessna 404 airframe, and an operational Beech U-21 aircraft. The aircraft cavity electromagnetic environments are compared with those in reverberation chambers
