  • Abstract
    An improved Harris corner detection method is proposed based on B_spline. Since the inherent characteristic of the Harris corner detection algorithms theory, It has shortcomings such as this corner has large redundancy or some corner will lose and so on. However, B-spline has stronger convergence and well approaching to given function. So in the new method, the B_spline filter operator is used in the filter and B_Spline differential operator is as the differential coefficient in this enhanced Harris corner detection algorithm. Finally, the work piece corner extraction is as an example to verify this method. The experimental results show that this algorithm to extract the corner point is feasible and the corner point redundancy has greatly decreased.
