Abstract :
This paper has summarized and compared various topologies of three-level non-regenerative rectifiers for aerospace applications. The converter maximum power capacity and current ripple with relation to the input inductance and dc-link voltage has been analytically derived. A modulation method is proposed to dynamically constrain the reference voltage during fast transient response and in case of high current ripple conditions, thus to guarantee successful control of the rectifier. Simulation results have validated the proposed control method.
