  • Abstract
Sports is one of the areas where there is a great scope for innovation and automation. Pitch marking is the task which is time consuming, tedious and requires manual help. The idea of the paper is to automatize the task of pitch marking. Theo Jansen´s mechanism exhibit better mobility while moving on rough terrain over wheeled robots. The optimization is set up to minimize the energy input and maximize the throughput. This design is one of the good alternatives over the existing systems for pitch marking. This paper may shed light on the future revolution of sports ground marking.
