Abstract
Model predictive control of hybrid systems based on mixed logical dynamical (MLD) model can be formulated as a mixed integer quadratic problem (MIQP). To the problem the traditional optimization methods are often trapped in illegal solution or local minimum, and an improved discrete particle swarm optimization (DPSO) algorithm is proposed for the problem. The basic DPSO algorithm is modified to improve the ability of DPSO to jump out of local minimum and enhance the convergence precision. The improved DPSO algorithm is applied to MPC of hybrid systems and the result shows the effectiveness.
