Abstract :
In many applications, search algorithms deal with fitness functions whose value is obtained by aggregation. In the recent years, aggregation functions have been largely investigated and extensive theoretical framework is available to characterize a function. In this paper we discuss how to choose an aggregated fitness function and what is the effect on modeling the search landscape and in driving the algorithm evolution.
