Abstract
In the paper, a mathematical model of a communication network is established by using a colored Petri net (CPN). An approach is proposed to determine the connectivities of communication edge trails connecting a node according to its equipment and the EMC environment. The connectivity of the communication system is analyzed on the basis of a CPN. The paper builds a foundation for the simulation of a communication system in which nodes are arbitrarily distributed
