Abstract
The effect of internal noise is studied in a mesoscopic hormone signaling system by chemical Langevin equation. Simulation results reveal that the internal noise can play a constructive role of optimizing the regularity of the noise induced signal only when external perturbation, such as the external noise or signal present. This is a novel type of system size resonance, in which the noise induced stochastic signal can be best regularized at a intermediate system size when external noise or signal exist.
