Abstract :
Partial discharge (PD) measurements performed on different high-voltage apparatus using a computer-controlled phase resolving PD analyzer (PRPDA) are described. The PRPDA system records the PD activity of a test object during a given number of cycles of the applied AC voltage or during a fixed time. Some typical results obtained in SF6-insulated systems gas-insulated systems, power transformers, and power generators in offline and in online conditions are presented and discussed. An advantage of the PRPDA measuring system is the possibility of performing a statistical analysis of the PD data
