Abstract :
This paper explores the relationship between transformer ratings and life and highlights some of the issues involved in determining transformer loading based on the standard IEC 354 equations. On-line and off-line transformer ratings methods are described. Finally, a “wish list” for the future is presented from a transformer user´s perspective
