Abstract
Summary form only given. Intense pulsed electric fields can permeabilize mammalian cells and induce various bioelectric effects. The charging and permeabilization of cells result in modifications in the dielectric properties of corresponding cellular structures. Hence time-resolved dielectric measurement following pulsed electric field exposure may allow us to assess conformational and possibly functional changes of cells, and in turn, evaluate and compare the efficacy of chosen pulse parameters.
