Abstract :
An application of the inversion propagation model and GIS for the wireless cellular network coverage optimization is presented here. Coverage prediction in a wireless cellular network is treated as an inversion problem and the inversion propagation model is applied in the wireless optimization system. So the rational and effective cell coverage analysis can be ensured in the system. The accuracy of wireless network optimization require that the region is closely related to the geographical environment and complex geographical environment can be expressed as geographic information. The wireless network optimization system based on the GIS platform can ensure the accuracy. As a expert system to support direct decision-making, visualization is the key and essential characteristics. The optimization system are divided into four module, that are GIS module, Inversion Prediction Module, Database Module and Data Analysis Module. The predicting results are given under the radio environments in Guangdong, China.
