Abstract
Opportunities of building a kinetic energy storage based on an asynchronized hydrogenerator without a flywheel with a dual frequency converter in a rotor circuit have been discussed. Control algorithms have been proposed. The storage and other devices have been simulated by a methodology of computing systems by interconnected subsystems, which enabled minimization of machine time consumption for computations. Operation conditions of the accumulator in starting conditions, and also during operation as part of an electric power system, have been analyzed on the models.
