Abstract
The Klang Valley in Malaysia is centred around the River Klang and includes Klang and Port Klang on the West Coast, Shah Alam the capital of Selangor State, Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia and other major urban areas of Petaling Jaya and Subang Jaya. It is the main urban development area of peninsular Malaysia. The article describes proposals for an automated traffic surveillance and control system (including detection of motoring offences), to come under a single authority because the urban areas are merging
