Abstract
The haptic interaction with machines occupies orders of magnitude in size and power. Some of the most powerful machines are hydraulic and can benefit from the natural communication channel of haptics. Hydraulics can also provide interactions on a human scale with fine spatial resolution. In this talk, these extremes are addressed and the challenges and solutions provided by hydraulics and haptics are explored.
