Abstract
To solve the basic man-hour data scarcity and avoid difficulties in establishing it, an assembly task man-hour estimate model based on work study and primitives is presented. Since the assembly tasks consist of manual operations mainly, methods study is used to get standard task firstly, then the manual standard tasks are disassembled into simple and universal primitive operations by structure analyzing, and the primitive operations are disassembled into motions. The time for motions is achieved by Modular Arrangement of Predetermined Time Standard (MODAPTS) method. The assembly task man-hour was got by applying the presented man-hour calculating method. The working flow chart and function system of the model were presented Some familiar primitive operations were defined. To verify the validity and convenience of the presented model, the defined primitive operations were used to analyze assembly tasks. The example proves that the presented model simplifies the man-hour establishing process and provides an effective theory model and system for establishing the man-hour rapidly and accurately.
