Abstract
Summary form only given. The authors have developed a model of a nonequilibrium radiation-induced dielectric effect in disordered insulators. The model is based on the concept of geminate recombination of carriers under the condition of dispersive (nonequilibrium) transport. This effect results in the appearance of an additional time-dependent polarization of the irradiated insulator. The model predicts that radiation-induced polarization of insulators can increase after the pulse electric field is switched off. Further polarization decays, and the depolarization current decreases as a power function of time.<>
