Title :
What power system problems caused by drive static converters should the static power converter solve?
Author_Institution :

Abstract :
Two major characteristics that need to be addressed in the next generation of static power converters used for motor drives are considered. These are: (1) minimize harmonic current generation introduced into the power system; and (2) minimize the VAR requirements from the power system (improve power factor at all operating levels)
