Abstract :
A new type of combiner is proposed that permits the efficient introduction of multimode diode pump radiation in a distributed manner along the fiber, which can lead to lower thermal loading. The coupling efficiency is expected to be high, and in addition, this coupler reduces the amount of signal radiation damaging the diodes
