Abstract
In this paper an improved receiver for MC-CDMA, which uses Independent Component Analysis (ICA), is presented. The proposed method, called MMSE-ICA is a combination of MMSE equalization, followed by ICA as an improving step. The method can recover the distorted MC-CDMA symbols in a frequency selective fading channel efficiently. The effect of Carrier Frequency Offset (CFO) which in turn degrades the performance of MC-CDMA systems, is also considered and it is shown that the proposed method can compensate it effectively. The improvement in system´s performance is also confirmed via computer simulations.
