Abstract
Digital watermarking of medical images with patient information such as patient details, history and measured physiological signals prior to transmission and storage is proposed as a way to effectively reduce memory requirements, provide protection of information and reduce transmission time and cost. Further, encryption before watermarking is done to ensure inaccessibility of information to unauthorized personnel
