  • Abstract
    This paper presents a quad-band RF transceiver front end module for the applications of wireless services. The proposed quad band RF transceiver front end module is designed to directly interconnect a single multi-resonance antenna to a diplexer, surface acoustic wave band pass filters and duplexers to miniaturize a front end module and to enhance the impedance matching. RF and IF blocks are connected by via holes. The antenna exhibited the gain and the power added efficiency of 38 dB and 41 % at 2150 MHz WCDMA band, 14 dB and 40 % at 1880 MHz PCS band. The module size of a quad-band RF transceiver front end module is 25 mm × 15 mm × 25 mm.
