Abstract :
This paper represented research on transmission scheme mechanism in Multimedia Broadcast and Multicast Service (MBMS) Long Term Evolution based on femtocells area. In MBMS, there are 3 types of transmission scheme, namely Point to Point, Point to Multipoint and Single Frequency Network. The last transmission scheme can only be occurred in Multi-cell transmission which all base station transmit the same signal at the same time and over same frequency channel to user equipment. In this paper, we compare the spectral efficiency between Point to Point and Single Frequency Network transmission in femtocells area.
