Abstract :
Microeconomics has contributed much to the foundations of management practice from investment and financial structure, to strategic analysis of markets and the organization of activity. However, rapidly changing technology and the increasing importance of knowledge and communication represent significant challenges to static theories of the firm. The paper explores shortcomings of the traditional model suggests that the model of the entrepreneur is more appropriate for the virtual enterprises of the 21st century
