Abstract :
Single phase diode rectifiers with single switch boost chopper and their variation of soft switching circuits are analyzed. It is found that the voltage fluctuation at an AC filter capacitor is not so small that it can be neglected. Then an analytical calculation method is developed with the consideration of the voltage fluctuation at the AC filter capacitor. The developed method is very useful for circuit design of high power factor converters
