Abstract :
In this paper, we propose a union algorithm of Companding and clipping method to reduce Peak-to-average Ratio (PAPR) in Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) system. Firstly, we use companding method to process OFDM signal to reduce PAPR, then the result was further processed by clipping method to reduce PAPR in the union algorithm. The simulation results that if the parameters are selected properly, it would reduce PAPR and not have too much noise by using the union algorithm of companding and clipping method.
