Abstract :
URIA, an ubiquitous humanoid URIA. which is an abbreviation of Ubiquitous Robotic Information Assistant, is a humanoid robot with a PC based network that may substitute one"s self from a far range. It has a LCD monitor on its chest and is capable of long range video conferencing. In addition to the recently launched 3G+ cell phones. URIA lias an upgraded function which allows users to log into the robot and move and perceive as if they were actually there. It is also interlinked with MSN Messenger, making video conferencing possible as well.
