  • Abstract
    A two dimensional array of 8×2 subarrays is presented. The subarrays are made of a driven rectangular dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) and parasitically coupled to another DRA elements placed in the H-plane. The driven element is excited by a narrow slot aperture. The subarray is designed to have two resonances that are used to enhance the bandwidth. A microstrip feeding network is design for power distribution tapering that achieves a 20dB sidelobe level. The array achieved a matching bandwidth of 22% with VSWR <; 2. The results are verified numerically.
