  • Abstract
A highly-efficient, low budget and lower power coal mine security control system based on wireless sensor networks was put forward in the paper. The overall structure of the monitoring system, hardware design of the notes, topology structure of the wireless sensor networks and the workflow of the system was stated. This system is not only monitoring various kinds of situations under the coal mine, but also collecting information about colliers´ vital signs, and furthermore, it can call for help automatically if someone was in danger. The structure of the networks could be set up flexibly and extended easily, its´ devices can easily follow up the driving face of the coal mine. Compared with the current coal mine security control system, the system has higher security and reliability.
