Abstract
This paper describes the design of a frequency quadrupler circuit that operates in the millimeter-wave band [56-64 GHz]. The circuit designed is composed of a single stage that could be associated with an oscillator operating around 15GHz [14-16 GHz] in order to generate frequencies in the range of [56-64 GHz] to perform the RF signal demodulation of a wireless communication link in the millimeter-wave band. The required output power is achieved by a buffer amplifier on the output. The conversion gain is about -4.2 dB with a very high rejection level of unwanted harmonics that goes up to 18.8 dB. This quadrupler is designed according to the MMIC technology (Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit) in PH15 process from UMS foundry.
