Abstract :
This paper presents a guaranteed cost variable structure control design methodology for multiple-input uncertain discrete-time systems. The existence condition for stable sliding mode is given by using state transformations and linear matrix inequalities (LMI), which can also guarantee the bound of given performance index. A novel variable structure controller is also designed to drive the system states to switching surfaces with disturbance compensation and chatter restraint simultaneously. The simulation results verify the validity of the proposed approach.
