Abstract :
An advanced computational framework was developed for 3D modelling of semiconductor detectors and medical imaging systems. In our work, pixellated CdZnTe detectors with pixel size between 0.04 and 1.6 mm and thickness in the range of 0.5 to 10 mm were modeled and investigated in terms of charge transport effects, detection efficiency and energy resolution across the energy range used in medical imaging applications.
